Tony and Renée Gebauer invite you to visit TR Pottery, located on Main Street in downtown Fish Creek, the heart of the Door County peninsula.
Our focus is making functional, affordable pottery. In our sales gallery, visitors will find two bodies of work: pots made and fired on site in electric kilns, and pots made on site and fired in wood-fired kilns located a few miles outside of town. We believe that simple, attractive and well made items are the ones used most frequently as a part of daily life. Following this philosophy, our pottery is reasonably priced, fired to stoneware temperatures for durability, and is food safe.
When purchasing hand made items, we feel that it is important to have an opportunity to connect with the maker. With that in mind, we designed our shop with a large, open window connecting the gallery to the studio, where Tony creates each piece individually on a potter’s wheel. This allows visitors the opportunity to talk with Tony when he is in the studio.
Door County Potters' Guild Studio Tour
Members of the Door County Potter's Guild will host their annual tour and sale on May 7-8 from 10am-5pm. The theme of our 2016 event is vases, but we will also have a good selection of all of our standard shapes.
Wheel Throwing Demonstrations
Please join us on Mondays from 2:00-3:00 in June, July, and August. Tony will be making pots and will be available to talk in more detail about his work.
We are a seasonal business which, in Door County, means that our most regular hours are during the summer months. We are open daily May-October, and during the "off-season", on most Saturdays. Currently we will be open from 10 am-3pm on 4/16, 4/23 and 4/30. We will be open daily again beginning May 6th.
